The path runs a little further down, almost parallel to the busy Bruderholzstrasse. It's hard to miss. Nevertheless, it's a gem with its many bridges that take you from one side of the stream to the other at short intervals.

Construction began in 1970, and the roof terrace has been open to the public since 1983. The 42.5-meter-high tower is founded on 18-meter-long concrete piles driven into loess soil. It contains two reservoirs with a total capacity of 990 cubic meters of drinking water, including a 100-cubic-meter reserve for firefighting. The viewing platform at a height of 38 meters is open only on Sundays and public holidays during limited hours. An elevator provides access to the platform. Four panoramic information panels describe the view. https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasserturm_Allschwil
