Here is a small bathing spot. More of a dog bathing spot in partial shade. There is no longer a bench here (as of May 2016).

The Alte Schwentine could originally have been the Schwentine that gave it its name – presumably the rivers' names were swapped in the 17th century due to a mapping error. Today, it connects several lakes on its way from Bornhöved to the Postsee and was once part of an important border line between Saxons and Slavs.

On the way to the train station, we are reminded once again that Preetz is widely known as the "shoemaker's town." A name that dates back to the heyday of the shoemaking trade in the 19th century, when numerous shoemakers lived and worked in the town. Even though the shoe industry is no longer as dominant today, this tradition is kept alive through monuments.

The entrance is on Einfelder Straße on the route between Großharrie and Einfeld. The route runs along the Dosenbek River. On one side is the moor, and on the other, meadows and fields. From the path that runs around the outside of the moor, several paths lead into the moor or into the Wattenbek woods. In bad, especially rainy, weather, this path can sometimes be flooded or very muddy.

In Plön and the surrounding area, there are cormorant colonies that sometimes cause damage to vegetation and fisheries. The island of Sterin in the Great Plön Lake is a well-known example of the destructive effect of cormorant droppings, which virtually destroy vegetation. There was also a cormorant colony on an island in Lake Selent, which was later abandoned and subsequently recovered.
