The partially broken concrete surface doesn't make the terrain any better. However, it does make for an interesting challenge on a mountain bike. With a "normal" bike, you should be careful that the material doesn't suffer too much.

Looking up Wallstraße from Bautzner Straße, you can see the mighty Monks' Wall, which protected the grounds of the former Franciscan monastery to the north and east, from afar. After 1507, the new city wall was built from granite rubble by the city and the monks. The end of Kamenz's city wall finally came in the 19th century, when it was recognized that the walls no longer provided serious protection against modern weapons of war. Few remains have survived, of which the Monks' Wall is arguably the most impressive example. Source: https://www.kamenz.de/sakrale-schaetze.html#mausoleum

Many readers will involuntarily associate the name "Krabat" with the name Otfried Preußler. The storyteller, who was born in 1923 in Reichenberg, Bohemia, took up the old Sorbian legend in his work, a multi-award-winning young adult novel. The publication "Master Krabat, the good Sorbian magician" from Domowina-Verlag offers a slightly different perspective, see link =>> https://www.borromedien.de/produkt-2002/meister_krabat_der_gute_sorbische_zauberer/1350027
