The fish fountain in Stavoren is located very close to the train station and was definitely the most fun fountain we saw! The sun was shining, and there were benches in front of the fountain where I sat down with our dog, Bronco. Suddenly, I noticed my husband bravely taking off his shoes and socks and climbing into the fish's mouth to sit down inside! It was hilarious! Luckily, he wasn't swallowed or eaten and was able to leave the Stavoren fish fountain unharmed. The description of the fountain is also very fitting and thought-provoking.

The Eleven Cities Tour has been reinvented. These are now “11Fountains”. In 2018, eleven internationally renowned artists decorated the eleven cultural and historical cities of Friesland with unique waterworks. Fog, ice, steam, seawater... each city has its own story. Check out the Eleven Fountains during your Eleven Cities Tour by bike or car. This is also fine without ice.
