This manor house was built in 1852 in the English Tudor Gothic style (Neo-Gothic with Tudor elements). The client was Wilhelm von Maltzan, who had acquired the estate in 1850. It came about as a result of a romantic love story: Wilhelm von Maltzan and the then 15-year-old Adelheid von Oertzen had to wait for their wedding → he had the manor house renovated and transformed into one of Mecklenburg's most beautiful country estates. The architect was Theodor Krüger (Schwerin).

The miller's house on the Ulrichshusen estate (in Tressow) is a historic building on the estate grounds, now used as holiday accommodation. The miller's house is not a spectacular, standalone monument with its own extensive history, but rather an authentic remnant of the Ulrichshusen estate's agricultural operations – lovingly restored today and part of the von Maltzahn family's successful tourism and cultural project.
