The first mention of the Lubliniec castle comes from 1397, when the castle belonged to prince Władysław Opolczyk. The Dukes of Opole and Racibórz ruled the lands of Lubliniec for several centuries. After the death of Duke Jan Dobre, his principality, together with Lubliniec, was in the hands of the Habsburgs ruling Bohemia. The castle in Lubliniec, along with the city and its surroundings, was leased. He then changed tenants several times, until finally, in 1587, it was acquired by Jan Kochcicki (he had been leasing the castle since 1576). The castle was then thoroughly rebuilt into one of the Kochcicki family seats. In 1638, King Władysław IV Waza stayed at the castle for a short time. https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zamek_w_Lubli%C5%84cu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbXgtRun5iY
