Stowmarket is a busy market town on the River Gripping. As it is on the railway line between Norwich and London it makes for an ideal place to start a run in the Suffolk Countryside if you are travelling by public transport.

Combs village is rather picturesque. You won't regret including it on your route or even just going there specifically to have a quick walk around.

Not sure i'd stop here but it decent enough to pass through. Road surface is of reasonable quality, just beware of the traffic. Cars and trucks, all of which completely ignore the 30MPH speed limit!

Great place. This is a community run pub. They have Adnams and, in the winter, mulled cider, which is apparently more popular than mulled wine.
