Vines Park is a narrow strip of parkland between Droitwich town centre and a neighbouring residential road. It is very pleasant as it has the Droitwich canal and the river Salwarpe running through it, and the occasional family of swans.

Monarch's Way is a long-distance hike following the escape route of Charles II in 1651 after the Battle of Worcester

A bit overgrown before a tunnel, this footpath is a part of the Monarch's Way, which is following the escape route of Charles II in 1651. Nice views on the right-hand side. But also, there are MANY rabbit holes in fence between the footpath and railway lines

Doesn't attempt after heavy rain or floods unless you desperately need to go this way! In all other times, it's a beautiful footpath in the middle of woods (part of the Monarch's Way). Not too overgrown and very well-signed.

St Mary the Virgin church in Doverdale. There are details that date parts of the building back to the 12th centaury but it's been rebuilt and modified over time. The three bells where cast in the 1600's.

Once the Roman settlement of Salinae, an important village at the junction of several roads, today Droitwich Spa and its surroundings are a treat for walkers. Thanks to the massive deposits of salt in the region, the town has always been involved in the salt trade and became very prosperous as a spa town during the 19th century, thanks in part to the efforts of industrialist John Corbett. Two canals pass through the town, the Droitwich Canal and the Worcester and Birmingham Canal, both important trade arteries in its heyday. The Droitwich Canal runs through Vines Park, the start/end point for the Wychavon Way, a medium-distance trail through Worcestershire. The park is a good place to learn more about the brine industry.

Quiet countryside church, made of sandstone with a wooden spire. Sitting in the churchyard makes a peaceful stopping place going from/to Droitwich on the NCN 45. Turn off at this point to go down a short lane to the church entrance.
