Lynn Beach is quite expansive and encircles much of Nahant Bay leading out to the Atlantic. A paved trail runs along the length of the beach, and you can spend a lot of time riding right next to the water.

Nice views from Nahant Road as it runs from Lynn to Nahant. All along the causeway, you get views of the water on both sides. There is traffic on the road, so if you want to stop to enjoy the view, make sure you pull off the road.

Nahant is the birthplace of American tennis, where James Dwight and Frederick Sears played the nation’s first lawn tennis match in 1874. To celebrate the 150th anniversary, the town hosted a vibrant tournament, where players wore vintage attire and swung wooden rackets in a nod to history. Today, the Nahant Tennis Club still carries forward this tradition.

If you're going to Nahant, it's worth driving up to this rock. The view across the bay to Boston is always a great joy for me. (But maybe it's just because I love Boston so much.) But the view of the sea, completely undisturbed, is simply amazing.
