The fountain standing in the market square in Gryfów Śląski was created in 1908. It has the shape of a column with four griffins at its base. At the column are bronze figures of Gryfów students. This architecturally interesting composition was created to commemorate the construction of the city waterworks.....and two boys who saved the city from fire.

The name of the church refers to Saint Hedwig of Andechs. The church cannot be visited outside of normal use. The main reason for this is to avoid damage. However, there are two entrances where you can glimpse the interior through grilles. The south entrance offers a view of the Schaffgotsch family tomb and the stone baptismal font. The west entrance offers a view into the nave and up to the altar. Even though you can't actually get into the church from either point, male visitors are advised to remove any head coverings. The information board at the church provides information about the history and furnishings. Nothing remains of the cemetery that once existed around the church. On the north wall, a plaque commemorates Mayor Melchior Schwenckfeld, whose work is also relatively unknown to the general public.

The sculpture at the fountain in Gryfów Market Square is modeled after the painting of the same name by Leonardo da Vinci. The painting is housed in the Czartoryski Museum in Kraków and is one of da Vinci's four known portraits of women. It is apparently unknown why this sculpture exists or why it is located here.
