A cozy little restaurant with charm and a lovely terrace. The service was very friendly. The restaurant is built directly into the rock and has an interesting interior. Beautiful location, right on the glacier trail. We had a delicious mushroom omelet with salad. Ideal for a quick stop!

Retention lake shortly after Ferpècle. Long climb to get there, but the view is worth it!

A dam impounding a relatively small reservoir, used for hydroelectric power. The reservoir is made up of meltwater from the enormous glaciers and mountain slopes that surround this valley, giving the water of this lake a beautiful turquoise hue. The lake also offers an excellent view of many imposing peaks, such as Mont Miné and its glacier.

A unique and serene hamlet, perched on the hills above the town of La Forclaz and the Ferpècle valley. This place offers fantastic views of the valley, as well as the peaks and glaciers that surround it, making it an ideal destination for your hike. During the summer months there is often a refreshment bar open, providing an excellent place to refuel before your descent from the hill. This region is known for its population of edelweiss, a beautiful white flower and emblem of the region. Please don't pick them! Not only is this illegal, but it also deprives others of seeing these special plants.
