This place has been called "Bistro w Sienkiewiczówka" since its inception. You can buy a variety of drinks, soups, and simple main courses, usually cakes and sweets, ice cream, coffee, and tea, as well as several bottled beers. There are plenty of comfortable tables inside and out, a restroom, and it's tidy and welcoming. The owners are direct descendants of Henryk Sienkiewicz, whose historic residence is located right next door—a small palace with a museum you can visit. Next to the bistro, the owners also have a stud farm, which usually grazes in a visible paddock. This bistro hosts a variety of interesting guests; I once even witnessed guests arriving by helicopter. Seriously! :-) A nature trail begins next to the stud farm, leading through a beautiful and wild gorge to Mount Siniewska, from where you can descend 500 meters to a viewing platform with a sweeping view of the surrounding area. The result of the Marian apparition at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries was the construction of a small chapel at the site of the miracle and the placement of the miraculous image of the Virgin Mary with Child inside it. In 1763, Countess Izabela Małachowska of the Humieniecka family founded a church, which in 1919 became a parish church. In 1971, Bishop Piotr Gołębiowski of the Sandomierz Diocese entrusted the care of the sanctuary to the Pallottine priests.
