A truly remarkable example of a bridge adapted to the needs of pedestrians and cyclists! Along its 800-meter length, there are numerous resting and nature-observing areas. A tower is located on the Polish side! A truly unique attraction – a must-see!

The Cistercian monastery in Cedynia (German Zehden) was founded around the middle of the 13th century. It was first recorded in written sources in 1278, when Bishop Hermann of Kamień issued a document "in claustro sanctimonialium in Sedene". In 1294, the monastery was excluded from the papal interdict. Its greatest development occurred in the 14th century, during the rule of the Wittelsbach margraves in Brandenburg, when the nuns received numerous land grants and foundations. The end of the monastery came with the Reformation in 1555. Margrave John took over the monastery's assets, providing only lifelong support for the nuns. The last nuns stayed in the monastery until 1611, because the former monastery buildings housed a school for young ladies of noble descent. It was later transformed into the office of the Elector of Brandenburg. In 1699, it was destroyed by fire. It was soon rebuilt and transformed into an estate. In the years 1811-1870, the monastery housed a post office, and then, until 1940, it was once again the seat of the owner of the estate. The partially rebuilt western wing of the monastery, rebuilt in 1997-2005 by a private investor, has survived to this day. Its southern and western elevations retain their original, narrow windows, and the renovated gable and entrance portals are also visible. The building currently houses the hotel and restaurant “Klasztor Cedynia”.

In the city centre on Wolności Square, in the place of the demolished cinema "Czcibor", a square with a fountain was created. The fountain has three cascading basins, in the highest of which three figures of medieval warriors were placed, probably Mieszko I and his brother Czcibor. The whole arrangement refers to the Battle of Cedynia from 972. The fountain is beautifully lit, around it there are benches encouraging to rest in the shade of ash trees.
