Tips from the Community

Radek
August 20, 2025, Half-Timbered Church in Ujście

A former Protestant church from 1851-52, now a museum. Built according to the design of the architect Johann August Soller, the construction was co-financed by King Frederick William III. Rebuilt in 1927-29, it was used as a warehouse from 1945. Renovated in 1996, it currently serves as an exhibition space and a venue for cultural events. In front of the church is a sculpture of a glassworker. A large glassworks producing glass packaging operates in Ujście, hence the monument highlighting this fact.

A very good alternative to the busy Route 182 between Ujście and Jabłonowo. New, smooth asphalt, low traffic, and beautiful views.

The palace in Kotuń was built around 1900. After World War II, it became the property of the State Agricultural Farm. It housed apartments. In the 1990s, it became private property, but was not used. In 2019, a fire broke out in the attic of the palace. Today, it is an abandoned ruin.

The building that currently houses the museum was built in the second half of the 19th century. It is currently one of the oldest buildings in the city. In the years 1934–1939 it was the seat of the Polish consulate in Germany.
