The Giżycko Pier – the largest structure of this type in Masuria. The Giżycko Pier is 406.94 m long and is second only to the Sopot Pier in Poland. The reinforced, concrete structure does not run straight into the water, like the structure in Sopot, but after approx. 72 m changes direction to parallel to the lake shore, acting as a breakwater for the Mazury Shipping Port and Ekomarina. A walk along the Giżycko Pier is one of the most interesting attractions in Giżycko. From the viewing terrace and the footbridge leading off it, we can observe the port bustle of ships and yachts, while from the south, the wide water expanse of Lake Niegocin opens before our eyes.
