The plaque commemorates the entry of Polish troops into Silesia in 1922. This is where the symbolic annexation of Silesia to the motherland took place.

Unfortunately, the bridge is slowly becoming a real trap and eventually someone may have an accident on it, as its condition is deteriorating year by year and currently has many broken planks. While crossing it today (July 23, 2025), I felt quite a rush of adrenaline caused by the danger.

A beautiful place, a great route (almost). Avoid the last section from Chechło to the finish line. Don't turn left after Chechło, just follow the road. About 5km of sand, roots, and mud. A nightmare. The rest of the route is fabulous. The desert, the Wind Rose, and the wooden footbridge are fantastic. The same goes for the other paved sections: the concrete is super smooth, the gravel is premium. It's worth it, truly worth it.

A demanding section - the climb can surprise you from both sides, but it's worth it for the speed you can develop thanks to the perfect surface :)

A nice path along the avenue with oaks and plaques commemorating people who made outstanding contributions to Silesia
