Tips from the Community

Artur Cityman
March 21, 2026, Kościół pw. Matki Bożej Szkaplerznej w Imielinie

Construction began on June 29, 1909, with a solemn Mass in Chełm and the consecration of the construction site. On July 18 of the same year, the cornerstone was consecrated, after which the construction of the foundations and walls began[7]. The work was supervised by builder Antoni Chrostek from Imielin. By the end of 1909, the walls had been erected to the level of the windows. Work resumed in the spring of 1911, after a break caused by, among other things, financial malfeasance during construction, which resulted in the parish priest withdrawing support for the construction committee and terminating the contract with Antoni Chrostek[8]. In 1911, the construction of the walls was completed and the floors were laid. In 1912, the roof was made and finishing works were carried out. On September 29, 1912, the building was consecrated by Fr. Jan Kapica, dean of the Mikołów deanery. Source:Wikipedia
