Construction of the church began in 1927. Previously, the residents of Chybie had belonged to the Parish of St. Barbara in Strumień. The building was built on marshy ground created by the filling of a former pond. The church was designed by Henryk Szołdra, and the interior was decorated by Jan Wałach, a painter from Istebna. The church was consecrated by Mitred Father Wilhelm Kasperlik on October 5, 1930. A year later, a branch of the Parish of St. Barbara in Strumień was established here, and in 1932, a pastoral center was established. The new Parish of Christ the King in Chybie was established on April 28, 1957. https://pl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ko%C5%9Bci%C3%B3%C5%82_Chrystusa_Kr%C3%B3la_w_Chybiu
