The windmill functioned until 1975. It is an interesting construction, characteristic only of the north-eastern Poland area, an intermediate between a post mill and a ground mill. A curiosity is that the structure stands in the middle of a new cemetery. Unfortunately, the building is in increasingly poor condition and probably won't stand for much longer. The object is entered in the register of monuments.

Looking around carefully, you'll notice numerous, large folk sculptures depicting January Uprising insurgents. The gallery was created to commemorate those who perished. The monuments were designed by Ryszard Bołtowicz.
