Full name of the monument: "To those who gave their lives to Poland 1939-1989". The monument was rebuilt after the end of the socialist system in Poland, supplementing the brick base with a stylized sculpture made of metal and expanding the list of victims to include the period of the so-called People's Republic of Poland. During this period (1944-1989), the socialist authorities proclaimed slogans of progress, equal rights, and the power of the working people of cities and villages, and quietly tortured and murdered their opponents who did not agree to the subordination of Poland to the Soviet Union, deprivation of private property, and harassment of the Church. The "Włoski Zakątek" pizzeria is located in the corner of the city park and is invisible from the roads running nearby. I found it by accident, walking through the park. When ordering a pizza, it is better not to ask for ketchup, because the service follows Italian standards, where asking for ketchup can get you thrown out of the place. A rich set of olive oil with various additives is offered with the pizza, free of charge. The menu includes 26 types of pizza, salads, Neapolitan rolls, desserts and drinks, including alcoholic ones. If there is no queue, the wait for the pizza is 7 minutes. Opening hours: Mon-Thu 12 - 21 Fri-Sun 13 - 22. WW

The facility with a small garden is located in the corner of the Market Square, above the Town Hall. It mainly offers ice cream from a vending machine, of various types. On hot days, you can find some shade in this part of the Market Square, near the tenement houses. Plus, there's no busy road running through this corner, so it's quieter here. WW

Catholic priest Jerzy Popiełuszko is the heroic chaplain of Solidarity. He supported workers, said masses for the homeland, which made him a victim of the communist propaganda apparatus, and then he was brutally murdered by officers of the state Security Service in 1984. Being next to this monument today, I did not know that on this day - June 6, is the fourteenth anniversary of the beatification of Fr. Jerzy Popiełuszko. WW

It is a two-story building built in 1896. Over the years, the town hall has been rebuilt many times, which is why it is completely different from its original appearance today. The town hall in Brzozów was rebuilt again in the 1940s, resulting in a wooden structure that raised the town hall tower by two storeys. In this way, the town hall gained a beautiful viewing area. At the same time, 20 years later, the wooden structure was changed to a brick one. The entire building is made of brick and plastered. Today, the town hall is open to tourists because inside it there is now the Regional Museum. Adam Fastnacht. The seat of the City Hall itself is currently located in a different place.
