The Ziębice Tower is one of the two surviving (out of the original four) gate towers of Grodków. Built in the mid-14th century and transformed around 1600, it has retained both Gothic and Renaissance architectural features. The city of Grodków in 1344 became the property of Wrocław bishops and became the capital of the Duchy of Grodków. At that time, thanks to the efforts of bishop Przecław from Pogorzela, four gate towers were erected, including the Ziębice Gate Tower on the western side of the wall ring. Around 1600, the tower was raised and received a Renaissance attic. Further work on the building took place in 1866 and in the 20th century.

The tower is built of brick on a circular plan, the upper part is an octagonal head with windows, and the roof is covered with a sheet of metal and is crowned with a characteristic spire. The height of the tower with the spire is 39.87 m, the outer diameter at the base - 10.56 m.
