A good, asphalt road through a pass 554 m above sea level. The pass itself is hidden in the forest, and the ascents (descents) are very scenic.

The church was built in the second half of the 17th century. The date of construction is often given as 1700. The tower was added in 1743. This date was found on one of the beams of the structure. However, it may only refer to the renovation of the older tower. It is the oldest probably dated tower of the Lemko church. After Operation Vistula in 1947, the temple began to be used as a Roman Catholic church, belonging to the parish in Uście Gorlickie. Currently, it is shared between Roman Catholics and Greek Catholics.

The Lower Biskeden are a low mountain range that lies partly in eastern Slovakia and partly in south-eastern Poland. Here between Ropki and Hańczowa you cycle on a quiet road and you can let your eyes wander over the landscape, which is mainly characterized by gentle hills. Maybe you are lucky and you will see a herd of Hutsuls (pony breed from the Eastern Carpathians) grazing on the lush green meadows.

You can visit this interesting wooden church, which was built in the style of western Lemki sacral architecture, since 2007. Typical for the style is the three-part construction with its division into choir, tower and nave and the clapboard cladding of the outer wall and roof. The interior of the church dates from the 18th and 19th centuries and, in addition to the figurative wall paintings in the ornamental style, shows an icon wall, a main altar and two side altars. Since the church is an important testimony to the medieval church building tradition, it has belonged to the cross-border UNESCO World Heritage Site "Wooden Churches of the Carpathian Region" since 2013, along with seven other wooden churches in Poland and eight churches in Ukraine.
