Renovated and enriched with several plaques, the monument is a gift and donation from Professor Czesław Dźwigaj, a resident of Wiśnicz. It was unveiled on November 23, 1996, during a patriotic and religious ceremony marking Independence Day and the 15th anniversary of the internment of members of the NSZZ "Solidarity" trade union.

The parish church of St. Matthew (Evangelist) in Biesiadki was built in 1661. The original church building was destroyed by Rakoczy's troops (the parish probably existed as early as the 12th century). In the niches of the single-nave church there are figures of saints carved by folk artists. The ceiling paintings (20C) refer to folk art motifs from the Podhale area. The late Gothic figure of the Pieta from the first half of the 16th century in the baroque main altar (17th century) and the Passion group from the 16th century on the transom are worth noting. In the presbytery there is a baroque image of Our Lady of Bochnia with figures of the donors of the church (information board on site).
