Stone signpost with barely visible inscriptions: "nach Kalkreuth" (now Karczówka) and "nach Schönbrunn" (now Jabłonów).

The base of the column is a four-sided pedestal, and the top is a capital decorated with a plant motif – an acanthus leaf and volutes. The Mother of God, placed on the capital in a seated position, holds on her lap the body of Christ lying on his back (around the hips a perizonium), with her right hand hanging limply downwards. Above Mary's head, a radiant halo. On the front wall of the pedestal, a partially illegible inscription: „Sponsa Sancvinum Jesu Christo gbr Se mei ipsum eximinnat Phil. V.7. et Virgini Mariae Matri DoLores Cuius animam DoLoris gladius Peitransiuit L....35 (?) D D AAAS 1694”.

The temple was erected at the end of the 13th century from erratic boulders, in the early Gothic style. The first written information about it dates back to 1376. In the 15th century, the church was extended, and in the 16th century, a tower was added, somewhat unusually, from the south side. During the Baroque period, a sacristy was added and the window openings were given a new form (the outline of pointed arch window openings can still be seen on the outer walls). The beautiful 13th-century entrance portal on the south side deserves special attention. It was made of sandstone, is pointed-arched, with profiled offsets, and has columns in the corners. The whole is surrounded by a brick fence, probably from the 15th century.

A stone cross in Kotowice, in front of the cemetery gate, next to the fire station; dimensions approx. 132 x 94 x 22 cm, made of conglomerate; according to legend, it was erected here as a sign of reconciliation between two feuding brothers. It is one of three stone crosses, known as penitential or reconciliation crosses, in the Zielona Góra district.

The action on and near the bridge takes place for over 5 minutes (from 21:18 to 26:34) of episode 2, "Joy and Bitterness." The crew of Rudy 102 approaches the bridge, but the Soviet soldier directing traffic refuses permission to cross.

Such a cross was funded by the murderer, as one of his side obligations under certain settlement agreements with the victim's family. One of three penitential crosses in the Zielona Góra district.
