The palace was built in 1907-1908, when Karl Riedel (since 1863) was the owner of Brzeźnica. In 1910, the estate became the property of Emil Zemke. After World War II, the palace was occupied by the Garrison Command of the Soviet Army, and from the 1950s to the end of 2006, it was a Social Welfare Home. A major renovation of the building was carried out in the early 1980s.
