Tips from the Community

Cobbo
October 22, 2026, Path Along the Railway in the Giant Mountains

This path is a former 17th-century trade route. Before the modern asphalt road was built, horse-drawn carts rolled through here, and at night, smugglers moved goods between Silesia and the Czech Republic. The road also connected the surrounding forest glassworks. The route's biggest secret is Jelenia Łąka – if you look closely, you will find a memorial stone and the foundations of the Michelsbaude inn in the thicket of bushes. Before the war, life was bustling here, and weary travelers drank beer. Today, there is no trace of the building, only the forest wilderness and a wooden bench standing off to the side.

June 25, 2026, Singletrack 14

Please note that from June 2026, the direction of travel has changed on part of singletrack 14. In this case, do not trust Komoot maps (at least as of 25.06.2026) as they suggest riding against the flow.

Walked through the village, very nice. We also had coffee somewhere but I don't remember which restaurant anymore according to these photos. It was on the corner, to the left you went into a road to walk to the waterfall. (You could only pay in cash there, no card)
