The former PTTK Mountain Shelter on Równica, now known as the Równica Guesthouse, is a facility with a rich history, nestled in a picturesque clearing at an altitude of 758 meters above sea level. It has been serving tourists since the 1920s and once even hosted President Ignacy Mościcki. Today, after a thorough renovation, it retains its regional charm and serves as an important hub for hiking trails (including the red GSB trail) and a popular viewing point. Although it has lost its formal status as a PTTK mountain shelter, it still offers stylish accommodations and regional cuisine, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the mountain atmosphere. The guesthouse can be reached both on foot via numerous trails and conveniently by car via the paved road from Ustroń.

The combination of English Neo-Gothic architecture with Swiss-style architecture produced a remarkable effect. The palace, built of brick and wood, has three stories. The octagonal tower is topped with a pointed dome. The building's form is embellished by numerous bay windows, attics, and turrets. The interior is highly ornate, with intricately carved paneling, stained-glass windows, and paintings making an impression. A spiral staircase in the vestibule attracts attention, while a tiled stove in the Fireplace Room displays hunting trophies. Hunting trophies hang on the walls. In front of the palace stands a historic sculpture of St. Hubert, the patron saint of hunters. After being converted into a hotel, the hunting lodge has regained its former glory. Promnice takes its name from the Promnitz family – Silesian nobility who ruled the Pszczyna estate from the mid-16th to the mid-18th century. After their death, the estate passed into the hands of the Anhalt family. It was a member of this family who built the first hunting lodge in the Pszczyna Forest. However, the time of greatest prosperity came with the takeover of Pszczyna by the Hochberg family, aristocrats considered part of the elite of the German Reich.

A palace complex that evolved from a 15th-century Gothic defensive castle into an elegant residence through multiple reconstructions in Renaissance, Baroque, and French Baroque styles. The castle served as the seat of various noble families including the Promnitz, Anhalt-Köthen-Pless, and Hochberg dynasties, with its final architectural form achieved during the 1870-1876 renovation directed by French architect Hippolyte Alexandre Destailleur. During World War I (1915-1916), it housed the German Army's Great General Headquarters where Kaiser Wilhelm II, Marshal Paul von Hindenburg, and General Erich Ludendorff made crucial military decisions for the Eastern Front.
