Built from 1325. The mill gate secured the entrance to Słupsk from the east. The ground-level part of the pointed arch gate with a wooden superstructure was probably built in the years 1325-1329. Between 1365 and 1370 the gate was raised and left open from the city side about halfway. In the 15th century the western facade was closed and only the gate was left open.

The witch tower was built in the years 1411-1415. In the 17th century the fortified tower was converted into a prison for women accused of witchcraft. According to available archival sources, 18 women were executed here. The first trial for witchcraft took place in 1651 and its victims were the courtiers of Duchess Anna de Croy – Scholastyka and Runga.
