This well was discovered during the first stage of the revitalization of the Oława Market Square in 2019. Archaeologists examined it at that time. After pumping out the water, it turned out that the well was seven meters deep and was built of crushed stone. It is also interesting that its lower, ground-level part was covered with oak boards connected with wooden pegs, and the upper part, located right at the surface, was built over with brick in the 19th century. Its oldest wooden and stone structure dates back to the 16th-17th centuries. Interestingly, only a few artifacts in the form of fragments of animal bones and clay vessels were recovered from the bottom filled with sand. It is possible that such a small concentration of finds may be dictated by the fact that it was cleaned and re-adapted at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The town hall tower has a movable, unique in Europe 17th century figurative and astronomical clock. The work on the creation of the work lasted almost 40 years, and its heart, the mechanism, occupies several floors of the town hall tower. Similar clocks can only be found in Poznań, the famous billy goats, and in Olomouc. The device with movable figures of King Solomon in Roman costume and the legendary Oława death with a scythe, a rooster chasing a hen and a gilded ball of the moon rotating and indicating its phases with extraordinary precision in a 28-day cycle makes a huge impression.

The town hall tower can be visited, for example, during the Night of Museums. On the town hall tower there is a movable, unique in Europe, 17th-century figural and astronomical clock. The clock was donated by Duchess Ludwika of Anhalcka, the mother of the last Piast dynasty. The work on creating the work took almost 40 years, and its heart, i.e. the mechanism, occupies several floors of the town hall tower. The clock's elements were hand-forged from many types of steel. They are extremely hard and have remained untouched by corrosion to this day. The clock mechanism works with four movable wooden figures, placed on the octagon of the tower, alternating with the clock dials. The timepiece was built over the years by three watchmakers: Salat, Kraut and Reibe (Polish: Sałata, Kapusta i Burak). The bells ringing the passage of time, placed highest in the tower, bear the date 1669 and the beautiful coat of arms of Oława.

A great place for a weekend walk or a bike ride. In April, the entire undergrowth is covered with lilies of the valley, snowdrops and wild garlic. Lots of routes.
