On January 17, 1939, by decision of the Warsaw School District Board, the Public Elementary School of Level II in Wysokienice received a banner and its patron – Prince Józef Poniatowski. Unfortunately, on September 10, 1939, the Germans invaded our school, vandalizing its property and taking everything of value. That day, they also stole the banner, which has never been recovered. By decision of the Education Superintendent in Skierniewice of January 14, 1989, the school was granted the right to display a banner named "Prince Józef Poniatowski Elementary School in Wysokienice."
