What a beautiful coastal road to whizz along 🚴🏼♀️ and enjoy the view 👀 😍. It goes to the end of the Vrsi peninsula. Only separated by a narrow strip of water, you can still cross to the outermost of the two peaks.

What I really liked is that you can sit outside on the stone steps and definitely also celebrate a church service.

Vrsi has always been a maritime place and there is literally not a house that has not produced at least one sailor. Seafarers are inextricably linked to Vrsi and to honor and remember this profession, which has brought Vrsi cultural and economic progress, this park was created and dedicated to them. In addition to a flagpole, in which a hoisted Croatian flag always flies, there is a statue of Saint Nicholas. Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of seafarers and the chapel in which he can be admired has the special shape of a sail. There is also a ship's anchor, a wind rose and a time capsule. The time capsule was placed on 22-06-2022 and will only be opened after 50 years (!) on 22-06-2072. The park is often used for cultural events and commemorations.

The church was built to commemorate the apparition of Our Lady of the Widow Jelena Grubišić on April 21, 1516. It was completely restored in 1983 when a new bell tower with a bell was built.
