This pond is one of the defining features of the nearby Rock Tank Trail, where you may see walkers, runners and mountain bikers. However, during much of the year the pond itself is dry. If you want to be sure of seeing it, come by after the monsoon rains; it fills up quickly then.

February 2, 2024, Maverick Trail

Maverick Trail is one of the smoother paths in the trail system and has a lot of open straightaways where you can pick up speed. Make sure to control your bike before you get to the few turns and blind bends because this trail is also open to foot traffic.
