New bakery at the top of Lookout just past Buffalo Bills. They opened Spring of 2025, just getting started and adding new pastries each time I stop by, the coffee is good too, hard to beat chocolate croissants stuffed with Nutella and a double shot of espresso!

Lookout Mountain is a popular climb for local cyclists and visitors. Traffic is normally light and friendly, but the climb is steep at points. However, you are rewarded at the top by wonderful views of downtown Denver.

From here you get amazing views out across Golden. This is also a popular sunset spot. There is a good mix of easy and quite steep trails here from Windy Saddle, so you have plenty of options to choose from.

Enjoy looking out from the observation deck as you can see Denver and the perfectly straight Colfax Road that splits down the middle.

Mann Reservoir has tall red rock features on the north-east side of the reservoir. The Swallow Trail will take visitors closest to the rock features. There is also parking on the north end of the reservoir.

The South Valley Park South Trailhead is one end of the Coyote Song Trail. This area has maps, parking, and restrooms. The trailhead is a quick turnoff from W. Deer Creek Canyon Road and is very accessible.

The climb up South Deer Creek Canyon Road can get rough near the top, but you actually get a short downhill break at the very northern end. The views back towards town are great and there are plenty of pull-offs along the side of the road, so if you need to take a break, you'll have plenty of chances.
