Very beautiful, but be careful: paths can flood at high tide. You'll then have to stand in knee-deep water for a few meters with your bike.

The boats are already very colorful, but you don't have to go here just to see them.

A really pleasant long walk, in silence and nature

The main canal is teeming with people, as all the traffic routes converge here. The tourist information office and a museum are also located here. The longboats set off from here on their excursions. For around €13-15 you can enjoy a great boat trip and see the place from a different perspective.

Moliceiro is a boat that travels along the Ria de Aveiro, a lagoon region of the Vouga River. A typical boat from the Aveiro region. Length 15 metres, beam 2.50 metres. These boats were originally used to collect moliço, but are currently used more for tourist purposes. It is one of the symbols of Aveiro, along with Ovos Moles and the University of Aveiro. Among the typical boats of the region, the moliceiro is considered the most elegant; despite its colourful and humorous decoration, it is a work boat for collecting moliço, which was the main source of fertiliser on the agricultural lands of Aveiro.
