The Idroscalo of Milan is a large artificial lake of 1.6 km² located between the municipalities of Segrate and Peschiera Borromeo, historically known as the "sea of Milan". Originally built in 1928 as a seaplane base, it is today one of the main public oases dedicated to sport, relaxation, and major music events in Lombardy.

L'Isola delle Rose is a picturesque islet and rose garden located within the Idroscalo park in Milan. It is a romantic oasis of 700 square meters surrounded by the lake's waters, where over 15 different varieties of roses bloom.

The Museo Giovani Artisti exhibits traditional sculpture and contemporary environmental art in a public, free, open-air area. The Museum was born from the collaboration between the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, the Associazione Amici dell’Accademia di Brera, and the Istituzione Idroscalo, thanks to the support of Fondazione Cariplo. It is an international example of the valorization of youth creativity and talent. It is part of the training path for students of the Scuola di scultura dell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and is based on the analysis of the relationship between Art and Nature and between Art, Environment, and Landscape, proving to be an innovative permanent laboratory.

An oasis of peace in the heart of the city. With its rose varieties imported from Germany and the evocative climbing roses surrounding the steel gates, this corner of nature offers the perfect retreat to immerse yourself in beauty and tranquility.

At the entrance to the park there is a wooden house, immediately beyond which the fairy-tale landscape of Aulì Ulè opens up: 20 thousand square meters of lawn and undergrowth enclosed by a hedge, with benches, tables and natural games: a swing-trunk, a small amphitheater made of stumps and a Compass Rose – created and donated by the Missoni Family – which in addition to indicating the winds and the cardinal points shows the main places in the world and their distance from the garden. There is a drinking water fountain and toilets nearby. The Aulì Ulè Garden was created by the Association of Friends of the Brera Academy from an idea by Fulvio Scaparro.

Who remembers “One, two, three star”, “The world” or “You’ve got it”? Who hasn’t played running, rolling on the grass, jumping and laughing with nothing more than a lawn and lots of friends? Aulì Ulè is a garden entirely dedicated to children, but it is different from the others. It has no structures for entertainment. It is a natural environment, with some games and wooden constructions among the trees and greenery, based on the idea that children should be left free to exercise their creativity, in contact with nature. It is a bridge between the past and the future, between ancient games to be rediscovered and new games to be invented, with imagination.

The seaplane base – better known as the sea of Milan – is a basin of fresh water which is fed by the waters of the river Lambro. A great variety of services arise around it: cycle paths, parks, open-air museums, courses, bars and gyms.
