Fantastic: We already wanted to buy a train ticket for our e-Tandem, because we used the battery to the last kilometer. At the Les Bois Train Station we found instead this wonderful repair and recharging station, recharged for some 40 Minutes and were off again on the Tandem. Congratulations and thanks to Chemins de fer / Canton du Jura: Promoting cycling can't get any better.

Please note that most of the photos associated with the route are photos of the via ferrata and the names of the ladders themselves, which are very solid stairs and not rope bridges! It is perfectly feasible for hiking, even if the height can be disconcerting.

In the 17th century, the region suffered a plague epidemic that decimated the population. The disease was so devastating that sometimes no one could be found to bury the bodies. In a single household, there were even 18 deaths. Outside the village, west of Boéchet, a cemetery was created where, among others, the first priest of Les Bois, who died at the age of 31, was buried, to whom a crucifix and a stone were dedicated with the following text: In memory of Thibaud Ory, first priest of Les Bois, and of all the faithful buried in this cemetery during the plague of 1636.
