The Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens church of Cavagnac is a parish church of Romanesque origin located in the locality of Cavagnac in the commune of Soturac. Less known than the Saint-Pierre church in the main town of Soturac, it is listed in the General Inventory of the heritage of the Occitanie region for its preserved architecture and its unique sculptures. (Mid-12th century): The majority of the current structure (the choir and the apse) dates back to the Romanesque period. Works (1777): It is at this date that the single nave is fitted with its current groin vaults, while the south portal is remodeled. Enlargement and Fire (1789–1792): Two side chapels (north and south) are added and blessed in February 1789, just before the building suffered a fire in 1792 during the Revolution, forcing the reconstruction of the vault at a lower level. The church is distinguished by a plan typical of small rural sanctuaries in Quercy: A massive bell tower rising 18 meters high. A choir composed of a straight bay under a barrel vault and terminated by a semi-circular cul-de-four apse. Remarkable sculpted capitals located at the entrance to the choir (on the double arch)

The greatest paradox of Bonaguil is that it appeared totally obsolete as soon as it was completed (at a time when kings were building the peaceful châteaux of the Loire). Situated away from the main strategic routes, it was never attacked or besieged, which explains why it has come down to us almost intact. A war machine... that never served!

The Château Prieural de Monsempron, adjoining the imposing Saint-Géraud church, is a major medieval monument in the Lot-et-Garonne. Located in the heart of the old fortified village of Monsempron-Libos, this former Benedictine complex overlooks a remarkable rocky spur. Built from the 12th century onwards, it was the residence of the prior of the local monastic community, then attached to the powerful abbey of Aurillac. The complex houses galleries of a 13th-century cloister and a unique medieval crypt, considered by experts to be one of the most beautiful in the diocese of Agen. Purchased and restored by the municipality, the castle has four interior rooms. It has now been transformed into a dynamic art center hosting temporary exhibitions of contemporary painting and sculpture throughout the year.

It's a track built on an old railway line, so it's not very picturesque, but it's safe. There are joggers and walkers like on all greenways. Personally, I prefer small roads.
