Bakery / Patisserie 50M off the Mazarrón - Cartagena Via Verde in Campillo de Arriba. Unfortunately I have never seen it open.

Very old Olive tree just off of the Mazerrón Via Verde in Pinilla. Maybe not a 1000 years old but it’s still called “Olivo milenario”. Its origins seem to actually date back to the 15th century. It’s considered to be one of the three oldest olive trees in the Region of Murcia. Apparently at the height of its splendor, the tree reached up to 15 meters and produced 1200Kgs of olives. Worth a stop as it’s just off the Cntra. Cuevas road by the Pinilla cemetery.

Large church for the village of La Pinilla set in nice square. The church was renamed after the Spanish Civil War to "Virgen de la Luz". Both names are included on panels on the church. The tower was built with money raised by the locals. The sculpture is apparently the Virgen and was hidden during the Civil War and is now prominently placed in front of the church.

Simple friendly bar in La Pinilla. Small Spanish snacks available at the bar. A few tables outside to view the church and square opposite. A good stop just off the Via Verde Mazerrón - Cartagena if in need of refreshment.

Bar / Restaurant in the Mazerrón Country Club. Large interior and terrace. Guinness on the beer menu. (If you go round to the Calle Serre, you can ride in. From the main drag, Calle Cabriolé, it’s steps up into the large bar / restaurant area.)
