It is not an exceptional place, but the tower acts as a reference point due to its height and can be seen from different points along the Genil River.

Here, people dance in the square on Saturday evenings 🤩. The older students really dressed up. They played everything that works as a couple's dance. There was a slow waltz, a rumba... if you don't want to dance yourself, you can just watch the others. A fantastic experience and a fantastic atmosphere 😍

In the city of Granada, which is not lacking in attractions, one particularly stands out: the Alhambra, the Moorish palace that seems like a fairytale from "1001 Nights" set in stone. The highly recommended TV series "Treasures of the World - Heritage of Humanity" portrays UNESCO World Heritage sites (in German) in short films (each 15 minutes long). The Alhambra is available in the ARD media library at the following link =>> https://www.zdf.de/swr/schaetze-der-welt/page-video-ard-alhambra-spanien-100.html

(Royal Dam) The irrigation channel Real or Gorda del Genil is located on the edge of Cenes de la Vega. It is a beautiful corner, especially in autumn, when the leaves of the trees turn golden and frame this beautiful waterfall.

The Puente Romano in Granada, also known as the Puente del Genil, is a historic bridge in the city of Granada, Spain. Although its name suggests that it is a Roman construction, it was actually built in the 12th century. It spans the River Genil, near its confluence with the River Darro. It is a bridge with five caisson arches, each with a span of seven metres, and is made of stone and bricks. It was originally built with stones from La Malahá. It is now a pedestrian bridge and has been a protected heritage site within the Historic Garden of the Paseos del Genil since 2007.
