Beautiful bridge, but why does someone take so many pictures of it, while there is already a highlight of this bridge?

Great cafe/bar. The tapas are delicious (especially the mussels) and the price is low. Great view of the mountains.

I advise that on the days that are indicated, it has to be if you go by vehicle, because in summer it is very hot in this area and you have a river, even if it is not powerful, it can cool off. If you do it on foot or by bicycle, you have to bring plenty of water, because if it has been a very dry year we have the problem here. I did it on foot with my Belgian shepherd dog named RISTOK for 5 days. May this be a tribute to the R.I.P. You were a great friend and colleague.

The old railway lines have been converted into greenways for cyclists. From Horta St Joan via Bot towards the sea there is a beautiful stretch where you drive past fantastic views. Bring a lamp for the dark and sometimes long tunnels!

The no-traffic gravel routes around Caseres often follow the historic Via Verde de la Terra Alta, which is a converted railway line. The difficulty ranges from moderate to difficult, catering to riders looking for a good challenge.
While many routes in this guide are rated as difficult, the Via Verde de la Terra Alta itself, which forms the backbone of many routes, offers predominantly downhill sections and is generally suitable for families. However, for specific family-friendly gravel options, it's best to check individual route descriptions for details on terrain and length, as some segments can be more challenging.
Many natural areas and greenways in Catalonia, including parts of the Via Verde, are generally dog-friendly, especially if your dog is well-behaved and kept on a leash. However, always check local regulations for specific trails or protected areas you plan to enter. Ensure your dog is fit enough for the distance and terrain, and carry enough water for both of you.

Examples include the Horta de Sant Joan – Via Verde Zafan Torre de Comte loop from Horta de Sant Joan and the Via Verde de la Terra Alta – Bot Station Bar (Railbus) loop from Antiga Estació de Prat de Comte. The routes often traverse stunning landscapes. You can experience the unique converted railway infrastructure of the Via Verde de la Terra Alta, including its historic tunnels. Don't miss the natural thermal basin of Fontcalda and the nearby Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fontcalda. Some trails also pass by the beautiful Molí de Sotorres and Waterfall, offering picturesque stops.
Many of the routes start from towns like Horta de Sant Joan, Caseres, or Arens de Lledó, which typically offer public parking facilities. For routes utilizing the Via Verde, look for parking near the old railway stations or access points in the various towns along the greenway. It's advisable to check specific starting points on your chosen route for the most convenient parking options.
