Fuentidueña has remains of Romanesque walls, several gates and towers. Among them, the Puerta de Alfonso VIII stands out, part of the remains of the castle that today is in ruins. The castle, located in the upper part of a large walled area, had the function of a fortress and served as a last stronghold in case of attack on the population. 😊🏰

Spectacular town and not only because of its location, near the Embalse de las Vencías, in the middle of an area in the shape of a valley where there is an enormous castle and wall that surrounds its town. Apart from that, the construction of the houses showed us how they were in the past.

Population crossed by the Río Duratrón and which follows a large number of centers around Fuentesaúco de Fuentidueña. Small town with just over two hundred inhabitants but beautiful surroundings!

A town in which Marcelino García Arranz has unleashed his talents as an artist. A good part of the town's walls are decorated with his excellent paintings. I was also lucky to meet him and chat for a while about his paintings.

Both offer significant elevation changes and immerse you in the region's diverse terrain.
The routes in and around Adrados traverse the 'Tierra de Pinares' (Land of Pine Forests), characterized by woodlands and agricultural areas. You'll cycle through serene pine forests, past vineyards, and enjoy the tranquil rural scenery. The broader Segovia region also features dramatic river canyons, though the specific routes listed here focus on the more open, forested, and agricultural landscapes.

The best time for touring cycling in the Segovia province, including Adrados, is typically during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October). During these months, the weather is generally mild and pleasant, with less extreme heat than summer and fewer cold temperatures or precipitation than winter, making for ideal cycling conditions.
While the specific routes listed here focus on the quiet, natural landscapes of pine forests and agricultural fields, the wider Adrados area is rich in natural beauty.
