Long time, no drink. The last time I drank in here, the daughter of the landlord was in the band Tight Fit (the blonde one).

June 15, 2021, Edgbarrow Woods

Owned by Wellington College, Edgbarrow Woods is a beautiful Local Nature Reserve with hiking trails through its leafy interior. During the 11th century, the woods was one of William the Conqueror's many royal hunting grounds; it's been a nature reserve since 2002. The Three Castles Path, a hiking trail linking Windsor, Odiham and Winchester castles, passes through the forest.

This peaceful area is a hive of activity on a micro scale. A thriving habitat for insects, reptiles, fungi, mosses and rare plants, the heath hides many secrets. With both dry heathland and valley bogs, the variety of plants and species here is vast. You can explore the nature reserve via trails and boardwalks. Keep an eye and an ear out for Dartford warblers and stonechats.
