December 3, 2025, The Royal Oak Pub Beer Garden, Goodworth Clatford

As well as good selection of filled jacket potatoes and sandwiches, lunch also includes specials each day. Very dog friendly, they have an area of tables by the bar that is hard floor where dogs are welcome, bowls of water bought to the tables. The beer was good too

Step off the road and look in the bottom of the shallow depression. Here you will find this mysterious stone. Definitely worth a visit if only to learn about its history and folklore. Also the views from Chute Causeway are superb.
