The Prisloppass (Romanian Pasul Prislop) is a mountain pass in the Romanian Eastern Carpathians near the border with Ukraine, at an altitude of 1416 m.[1] Because of the nearby 1611-meter-high Stiol mountain in the Rodna Mountains (Munții Rodnei), the Prislop Pass is also called the Stiol Pass. The Prislop Pass connects the historical region of Maramures with the historical region of Bukovina.
