Buckenham Marshes is a nature reserve situated on the northern bank of the River Yare. It’s home to a variety of wildlife including wading birds, ducks and geese. The reserve is also an important breeding ground for lapwings, redshanks and other bird species. Visitor Buckenham Marshes to enjoy walking trails and bird hides, as well as the opportunity to see many different bird species.

Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden consists of 130 acres (52 ha) of ancient woodland with over 3.5 miles (5.6 km) of paths. It has a tearoom, gift shop, bird hides, children's nature trail and plant sales area. In the spring you can see the UK's finest collection of Candelabra Primulas as well as bluebells, camellia's and wood anemones. In summer there are Hydrangeas, Philadelphus and many wild flowers.
