The church was rebuilt between 1731 and 1741 based on a design by Paolo Soratini from Lonate and at the behest of the parish priest Don Antonio Mainoldi. The facade of the church is made of terracotta[4]. Inside the church there are two frescoes torn from the previous church which represent the Madonna enthroned and the Madonna with Child, two eighteenth-century statues depicting the saints Gervasio and Protasio.
