August 27, 2026, Millennium-Express Tröpolach

This is not just a simple climb up the mountain. The Millennium Express, with a length of around 6 kilometers, is the longest cable car in Austria and one of the longest gondola lifts in the Alps. Since its opening at the turn of the millennium, it has connected the Gailtal valley with the impressive mountain world of Nassfeld in just about 17 minutes – previously, this altitude was almost exclusively accessible via the mountain pass. Once at the top, you immediately understand why Nassfeld is considered Carinthia's number 1 adventure mountain. Between the peaks of the Carnic Alps, a panorama opens up that stretches all the way to Italy. Hiking trails, alpine pastures, mountain lakes, and countless adventure stations make this place a spot where enjoyment and activity naturally come together.

Very impressive and striking mountain lake directly on the Austrian/Italian border, which can be circumnavigated via a gravel path and offers many beautiful reflections in the water. Additionally, wooden benches and loungers are set up around the lake - ideal for lingering.

Great mountain hut with catering and alpine area with many advantages. On the one hand, it can be reached via an asphalt road, on the other hand, it is located below the Gartnerkofel near a reservoir with a circular hiking trail.
