The bivouac has been operational for a few months. New, clean, internally lined with wood, without any writing. The only shame is the poorly insulating iron frames and the transparent plastic instead of glass: horrible!

The Rifugio Piano dei Grilli is a welcoming structure immersed in the Etna Park. It offers a warm and hospitable shelter, with an internal room where you can relax Often frequented on weekends, it has a small workshop corner for bicycles. The view of Etna from here is simply spectacular.

Small hut with wood and water. Unfortunately not very inviting but OK.

Really spectacular stone structure although the numerous holes/voids between the stones make it not very useful/efficient as a shelter. Good connection

The bivouac located on level - 1 compared to the refuge is dirty, messy and poorly looked after. There is a fountain with non-drinkable water.
