The Porta Poschiavina (named after the Poschiavino River) is a square tower and is now integrated into the surrounding buildings. The Porta Poschiavina (Porta Poschiavina sul Bernina, approximately 440 m above sea level) served as a connection to Graubünden via the old bridge (over the Adda River) through two consecutive round arches and a gatehouse with groin vaults. The groove of the portcullis can still be seen on the side of the tower facing the city. The visible frescoes date from the 15th century, including two figures of the Wild Man. From here you take the Rhaetian Railway (UNESCO World Heritage Site) up to the Bernina Pass through numerous tunnels, winding its way up 1900m to the pass height of 2330m. A masterpiece of engineering with breathtaking views such as the Piz Palü, Bernina and Moteratsch glacier if you go up to it Pontresina continues. A single trip to the Bernina Ospizio costs 20 Sfr. Another 10 francs extra for the bike.

Nice bridge that connects the classic Sentiero Valtellina (on the left bank of the Adda between Tirano and Tresenda) with its dirt variant on the right bank. There is also a drinking fountain nearby.
