Dating back to the 11th century, unfortunately the Crypt is rather run down and unusable due to the risk of collapse of the structure and water infiltration; however, the area has always been a meeting point for Foligno as in the area you can take pleasant walks (walk of the friars) and because near the Crypt there is a much appreciated spring
